T.O. working out with new teammates in Buffalo

Bills WR Terrell Owens is working out with his new teammates in Buffalo as part of a voluntary offseason conditioning program, according to the team’s official Web site.

NFL.com’s Vic Carucci reports that Owens arrived in Buffalo earlier this week, and The Buffalo News says T.O. also will work out with the team Thursday.

Owens said in late March that he would only work out in Buffalo when it was mandatory, saying he preferred to do his own program. However, Owens quickly softened his stance and told reporters that if he was in the area, he would stop by and join his teammates. Bills coach Dick Jauron and QB Trent Edwards didn’t criticize Owens’ stance, but they did admit they were anxious to work with the receiver to build chemistry.

Owens was released by the Cowboys in March and signed a one-year, $6.5 million contract with the Bills. Owens spent three seasons with the Cowboys.
