Browns reportedly smitten by QB Sanchez

The Browns are headed for a quarterback competition with Brady Quinn and Derek Anderson. How about adding one more quarterback to the mix?

The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports the Browns are “smitten” by QB Mark Sanchez and that it wouldn’t surprise some if the team took the former USC signal-caller with the fifth overall pick in this month’s draft. Of all the draft-day surprises over the years, the Browns picking Sanchez certainly would rank near the top.

According to The Plain Dealer, Browns executives aren’t particularly impressed with Quinn or Anderson. But making a move for a quarterback, with so many other needs, would be quite a leap for Cleveland, especially since Quinn, a 2007 first-round draft pick, hasn’t really been given a chance to prove himself on the field.
