QB Garcia negotiating with Raiders

Free-agent QB Jeff Garcia is reportedly close to signing a deal with the Oakland Raiders, according to NBC Bay Area Sports. A source close to the negotiations told the NBC affiliate a deal is close and “will probably get done.”

It would mark Garcia’s second stay in the Bay Area, as he started his NFL career with the San Francisco 49ers (1999-2003).

Garcia played in 12 games for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season. He finished with 12 touchdowns, six interceptions and 2,712 passing yards in 11 starts.
