Dansby’s agent meeting with team in Arizona

The agent for franchised Cardinals LB Karlos Dansby is in Arizona meeting with team officials, according to the Arizona Republic.

Dansby is considered the top priority for the Cardinals right now, but a deal is not expected to be done immediately.

Dansby is working out with his teammates during the voluntary workouts, but there are some notable absences, according to the Republic. DE Darnell Dockett, RB Edgerrin James, WR Anquan Boldin and SS Adrian Wilson have not yet attended. James typically works out on his own, but Dockett, Boldin and Wilson are all looking for new contracts.

Boldin said there has been no movement with a contract extension, and that he would love to play in his home state of Florida. Darren Urban, a blogger for the team’s site, says that no trade is imminent.

The Cardinals have Wilson and Boldin (in order) behind Dansby. Boldin still has two years remaining on his contract, and no talks will start until the other two players are signed.
