Cardinals to discuss long-term deal for Dansby

Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic reports that the agent for Cardinals LB Karlos Dansby is expected to meet with general manager Rod Graves to discuss a long-term contract for the player later this week.
Last week, Somers reported that the Cardinals are believed to be approximately $1.5 million under the salary cap. With its eyes on creating some cap relief, the team could turn its attention to Dansby, who has signed a one-year, $9.7 million franchise tender. The Cardinals could significantly lower that number if a long-term deal is worked out.
