Taylor opens up about Patriots rumors

The Patriots have been mentioned as a potential landing spot for DE Jason Taylor. And the free agent finally opened up about the possibility of going to New England while talking at his dinner and charity auction last weekend at the Hard Rock Resort in Fort Lauderdale. Turns out, Taylor might not be a lock for the Patriots after all. (Via the Boston Herald)

“There’s been a lot of talk about New England,” Taylor said. “I don’t know where it’s all coming from. I don’t know who’s starting it. I don’t know what level of talk is between me and my agent. But it’s tough to play for one team for 11 years, and then go to play for your bitter rival. That’s tough to do.”

But there is still a chance.

“You don’t rule anything out in this business. You don’t burn any bridges,” Taylor said.

Taylor said there was some interest in re-joining the Dolphins, but that the situation, not the money, will be his key determination in signing with a team.
