Receiver-strapped Jaguars make pitch to Holt

The Jaguars hosted free-agent WR Torry Holt on Thursday, according to the Florida Times-Union.
Holt was released on March 13 by the Rams, who saved nearly $8 million in salary-cap space with the move.
The Jaguars have a great need at wide receiver after letting Reggie Williams‘ contract expire and releasing Jerry Porter and Matt Jones. The only three experienced receivers on the Jaguars’ roster right now are Dennis Northcutt, Troy Williamson and Mike Walker, none of whom match Holt’s career totals of 869 receptions, 12,660 receiving yards and 74 touchdowns.
