Does anybody in the AFC West want to play for their current team? Chiefs TE Tony Gonzalez apparently does.

Gonzalez has been rumored to be seeking a trade out of Kansas City. But new Chiefs general manager Scott Pioli told the Kansas City Star that Gonzalez did not request a trade.

“He has not indicated to me that he wants to be traded,” Pioli said. “I don’t want to get into any other specifics of the conversations because those are conversations that will stay between players and (coach Todd Haley) and players and myself. They were good conversations, positive conversations, healthy conversations.”

Pioli also told the paper that the team wouldn’t move Pro Bowl guard Brian Waters. The Chiefs beefed up their offensive line with the recent signing of veteran Mike Goff.
