The Nittany Lion expected to be selected the highest in this year’s draft is DE/LB Aaron Maybin. He put on weight prior to the combine and did not run very crisply, but he carried the weight better at his pro day. The 6-foot-4 1/8, 250-pounder ran a 4.71 and 4.64 in the 40, had an impressive 40-inch vertical jump, a sterling 10-foot, 10-inch broad jump and his arms measured in at 35 3/4 inches.
Here are the other notable prospects from Penn State’s March 18 pro day, which included a total of 20 players and was conducted indoors on FieldTurf:
CB Deon Butler (5-10 3/8, 181 pounds) had a 4.23 short shuttle and kept the rest of his numbers from the combine.
OT Gerald Cadogan (6-5 1/2, 310 pounds), had a 25-inch vertical, an 8-foot, 3-inch broad jump and his arms measured 35 3/4 inches.

WR Jordan Norwood (5-10 7/8, 184 pounds) ran a 4.58 and 4.63 in the 40, had a 10-foot broad jump, a 4.18 short shuttle and a 6.91 three-cone drill.

DB Anthony Scirrotto (5-11 3/4, 202 pounds) only did the bench press due to an injured hamstring. He put up the bar 11 times.
OL A.Q. Shipley (6-1 1/8, 306 pounds) kept everything from the combine.
WR Derrick Williams (5-11 5/8, 198 pounds) ran a 4.47 and 4.50 in the 40, had a 9-foot, 7-inch broad jump, a 4.21 short shuttle, a 6.96 three-cone drill and 18 bench press reps.
Twenty team representatives were there to watch eight prospects work out outdoors on FieldTurf. It was a beautiful 80-degree day and the players wore spikes. Here are the notable prospects:
