Former Cowboys safety Williams has suitors

S Roy Williams hasn’t been as much of a lightning rod for controversy as former teammate WR Terrell Owens, but his skills — particularly those in coverage — were a constant source of debate in Big D.

Now that Williams has been cut — a move that was made on the same day and ultimately overshadowed by Owens’ own release — the seven-year veteran is looking to catch on with a team that uses a 4-3 defense and can utilize his skills close to the line of scrimmage, reports The Dallas Morning News.

Williams’ agent told the paper that several teams have expressed interest in Williams, who missed all but three games last season with a forearm injury.
