Payton nixes talk of T.O. to Saints

When New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton learned the Dallas Cowboys had released wide receiver Terrell Owens, he began hearing some people speculate that T.O. could be headed for the Big Easy. In an interview with WWL First News in New Orleans, Payton said he already has an unselfish group of Saints, and Owens’ services won’t be needed in 2009.

    “Certainly he’s explosive,” Payton said of Owens, “but he’s second in the league in dropped passes. A lot of those came at critical moments.”
