Titans owner Bud Adams told The Tennessean that Vince Young is saying all of the right things about being Kerry Collins‘ understudy. Collins was re-signed by the Titans and will be the team’s starter in 2009. But Young told Adams that he is working to get his job back.
- “He is just trying to get himself together, not worrying about what they are doing with Kerry. That doesn’t matter to him.
- “Vince is not upset. He is not asking for a trade or anything. He loves the organization, loves (Titans owner) Bud Adams, and he wants to be in Tennessee. But he still wants to play, and is approaching this offseason like he’s going to.”
Young started 15 games and led the Titans to the playoffs in 2007, but made only one start last season.
