The Detroit Lions announced that they have released six players: CB Leigh Bodden, TE Dan Campbell, OT Jon Dunn, WR Mike Furrey, G Edwin Mulitalo and S Dwight Smith.

The Dallas Cowboys will make it official and release CB Adam Jones on Monday, the Dallas Morning News reported. The Cowboys announced the move last month, but Monday marks the first day that teams are allowed to make waiver requests for the 2009 season.

Fans in Hawaii aren’t ready to say goodbye to the Pro Bowl. After the NFC’s 30-21 victory over the AFC on Sunday in Honolulu, the Pro Bowl will be played somewhere other than Hawaii for the first time since 1980.
