Vrabel confirms trade to Kansas City

The Boston Globe received an e-mail from Patriots LB Mike Vrabel confirming an earlier report by NFL Network’s Adam Schefter that the three-time Pro Bowler has been traded to the Kansas City Chiefs.

    “Have you been traded to the Kansas City Chiefs?” Vrabel responded with a one-word answer: “Yes.”

The deal was made by Chiefs general manager Scott Pioli, who is familiar with Vrabel’s work, as he spent nine years in the Patriots’ front office. It is unclear what the Patriots would receive in exchange for Vrabel. More…
