DE Canty scheduled to visit with Redskins on Friday

While the Washington Redskins await word from free-agent DT Albert Haynesworth, they forge on with other plans.

The Redskins scheduled a Friday visit for free-agent DE Chris Canty. The four-year NFL veteran was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in 2005 and is regarded as the second-best free-agent defensive lineman.

Washington likely will not be able to sign Canty and Haynesworth, but Canty will be the Redskins’ first visitor.
