Former Jets receiver Laveranues Coles was allowed to become an unrestricted free by the team, but he might not be traveling out of the division. Coles celebrated the opening of NFL free agency by visiting the Buffalo Bills on Friday according to the team’s official site.
The Bills are obviously familiar with Coles after seeing him twice a year for the last nine seasons. Coles had 70 receptions for 850 yards and seven touchdowns in 2008.
In other news, NFL Network’s Adam Schefter is reporting that free-agent tackle Khalif Barnes is scheduled to visit the Saints on Sunday.
