Whisenhunt hopes new faces will re-energize Cards

Arizona Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt knows the challenge he faces in pushing a team that lost the Super Bowl beyond the post-game funk that can extend into the following season. Thus, Whisenhunt said that has been part of the reason for changes that have already occurred on his staff and his roster.

“We won’t see the entire group until our first mandatory camp in May, but guys have trickled through the building and the coaches are around,” Whisenhunt said. “I will rely on our coaches to help us with that. The new people we have added bring new energies. The new players we will add from this combine will help with that by bringing a new energy. It certainly is something with players that you have to talk about upfront and address.”
