The Atlanta Falcons will not be in the bidding for Titans free-agent defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth.
Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff said the team would not be major players in free agency and that it would replenish its needs at defensive tackle through the draft or by signing a younger, less-costly player in free agency.
Haynesworth, according to a league source, has priced himself out of the reach of some teams. Atlanta now is on that list.
Atlanta, according to several sources, was a desired destination for Haynesworth, who said he would gauge his value on the open market before possibly re-signing with the Titans.
