Alabama offensive tackle Andre Smith, projected as a potential top-five pick, hasn’t yet decided if he will work out this weekend at the combine. He said he will make his decision Friday.

Smith definitely will perform at his Pro Day workout in Tuscaloosa, Ala., on March 11, but he’s trying to figure out his combine plans, as he just recently picked an agent.

Smith also addressed concerns about his weight and a suspension for a violation of team rules that cost him a chance to play in the Sugar Bowl.

An improved diet had taken care of his weight issues, and as for the suspension, Smith said it was a poor decision and that he has learned from his mistake. He added, “I was hurt and shed some tears,” when he found out he couldn’t play in his final college game.
