Crabtree will skip 40-yard dash at Combine

Former Texas Tech WR Michael Crabtree won’t be running the 40-yard dash at the 2009 NFL Scouting Combine.

Crabtree, projected as the top-ranked receiver available in the NFL Draft by NFL Network’s Mike Mayock, is still nursing the right-ankle sprain suffered during the AT&T Cotton Bowl, according to The Dallas Morning News.

A two-time Biletnikoff Award winner, Crabtree totaled 231 catches for 3,127 yards and 41 touchdowns in just two seasons.

“My ankle’s not the big issue,” Crabtree told the newspaper. “I played hurt during the season. I’m looking forward to getting my ankle better to 100 percent before I perform.”
