The Tennessee Titans have a pair of free agent quarterbacks, Kerry Collins and Chris Simms. And they definitely want one of those quarterbacks back — but it may surprise you who it is. Simms told The City Paper in Nashville, Tenn. that the Titans have contacted his agent about remaining with the team.

“I do believe they have had some preliminary talks,” Simms said. “They reached out to my agent a little bit and contacted him, and I’ve had people reach out to me in the organization, too. To me, they’ve gone above and beyond by basically calling to say I was still on their radar and that they’d like to get something done.”

Collins has said that he wants to return to the Titans, but only as a starter. Then there’s also the question of former first-round draft pick Vince Young who spent the majority of the season backing up Collins. Are the Titans already bracing for Collins’ departure or are they planning something else?
