McCown’s contract could be worth up to $14 million

Before he hit the free-agent market, quarterback Luke McCown signed a two-year, $7.5 million contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The deal includes a $2.5 million signing bonus and incentives that could boost the value to $14 million.

McCown’s contract calls for him to make $2.5 million in base salary in each of the next two seasons.

The Bucs’ other quarterback, Jeff Garcia, still is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent.
