Former Baltimore Ravens tackle Jonathan Ogden doesn’t wear his Super Bowl ring all the time. But when he’s back in Tampa, site of the Ravens’ victory in Super Bowl XXXV, Ogden feels the need to show it off.
“Super Bowl week, you’ve got to wear it,” he said, speaking with NFL Network’s Scott Hanson. “Especially since this is where we won our Super Bowl.”
Ogden stopped by the NFL Total Access set to share his thoughts on all things Ravens, including their surprising run this season and the future of former teammate Ray Lewis.
“I was so happy to see (the Ravens) do what they did this year. I mean it just speaks volumes about that front office and that team and where they’re going in the future. I’m a Raven for life, so any time the Ravens win I’m happy. But I had a great time watching them this year.”
Of course, Lewis was a big part of this year’s success, making his impending free agency a hot topic.
“I hope he stays, but the business man in me, watching the way the business of the NFL runs, says that he’s probably going to end up going somewhere else,” said Ogden. “Which would be a shame if it does happen, but you know, maybe the sentimental side will win out. But I think there’s just going to be too many offers made by perhaps the New York Jets, maybe Dallas. It’s going to be hard for him to turn down the money when the money comes on the table.”
