All it took was Faith Hill for our NFL set on Radio Row to be completely engulfed. The country-music singer and hubby Tim McGraw have been making the rounds around the room, drawing more interest than any of the former or current players. No joke. Everyone wants a photo of Faith Hill.
I guess we’re seeing who carries the weight around here. Having had the chance to meet Hill about 10 years ago or so, I will say not much has changed. Again, no joke.
Hill, who is clearly showing her colors as a Tennessee Titans fan, is making her second appearance at a Super Bowl.
“I was really honored to come back,” Hill said. “I sang the [National] Anthem back in 2000, and I thought it was the best thing that ever happened to me. It was an honor. It’s great to be asked to come back.”
For the record, she’s picking the Cardinals. You also might be interested to know she still gets nervous before an appearance like the Super Bowl.
“It’s definitely the biggest stage,” Hill said. “The nerves are huge. … I couldn’t refuse it. I love the NFL.”
