The Philadelphia Eagles announced Thursday that backup DE Darren Howard had successful abdominal surgery. According to a statement released by the Eagles, the procedure was performed Wednesday at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia.
The team didn’t say how long Howard’s rehabilitation would take.
Although he didn’t start a game this season, Howard led the Eagles with 10 sacks. He played in all 16 regular-season and three playoff games.
