Spinning at full speed

Tampa is still gorgeous.
That’s where day three of Super Bowl week starts, and everything is gaining momentum. Outside the Tampa Bay Convention Center, a few small boats are patrolling the sparkling waters of the Hillsborough River — or Channel, whatever, we’re not being picky — a picturesque view to help calm our NFL.com homepage editor Andy. It’s the small things.
Inside the convention center, radio row is spinning at full speed. The Wednesday of Super Bowl week marks the beginning of the end, the day when the full crush of celebrities (think current and former ballers, TV and radio hosts and commentators, various media types) falls on radio row in full force. Michael Strahan is already on his media tour; one of the Barbers — I’m told it was Tiki– was cruising the hallway; Falcons QB Matt Ryan and his gaggle of “people” were doing some type of shoot; Phil Simms was on SIRIUS Radio.
There’s more to come, and we’ll get a chance to chat with most of them today, getting their take on Super Bowl week — oh, and the game, too.
