Pennington says Miami decision was clear

Outside on the NFL Network set, Chad Pennington is sitting with Rich Eisen, Steve Mariucci, Jamie Dukes and Terrell Davis. The Network is breaking it down with eight hours of programming today.
Pennington took it well when it was pointed out he was the two-time Comeback Player of the Year winner. “I don’t know if you want to major in that,” Pennington quipped.
Later he was asked why he chose to sign with the Dolphins — who finished 1-15 in 2007 — when there could have been other opportunities on the free-agent market.
“Well, we basically had six teams that were interested. But Miami was the only team that said, ‘Come down here and compete for the starting job.’ So I had a decision to make. … The competitor in me, I couldn’t turn that down.”
Radio row is at a lull. Things are leveling out. All of these stations are on the air still, but the vibe is subdued. The likes of Iron Mike, Ryan Howard, Matt Ryan, Joe Montana, et al, are gone. Overall, radio row is more relaxed this year. There is no Miss Nevada. No Marissa Miller. No Tom Petty. The Boss is confirmed for a sit-down interview with Eisen tomorrow for Total Access.
