Cardinals running back Edgerrin James is playing in his first Super Bowl and he wanted to make sure he did things big. Upon arrival at the team hotel in Tampa, James’ freshly ordered Lamborghini was parked in front of the hotel. For James, it wasn’t just about the ride, but about the presentation.

“You order a Lamborghini and you say you want it in front of the hotel and everybody on the team thinks you [are kidding],” James said Wednesday during media availability. “As soon as you get there, the Lambo was right there. When you drop that much money, it will be right there.”

The color of the high-performance car was described as a creamish/yellowish and it remains parked in the parking lot of the hotel for all to see. Since it was dropped off, James said the only miles on the odometer were, “fine-tuning miles.”

What James described next might not make the coaching staff too thrilled, but, as he said, when it comes to fun, “I’m still non-stop, every day.”

He elaborated: “When I went in to pick the car out, I told them I don’t want to know how to drive it. The first day I get it, I’ll learn on the job. So I learned on the job. Me and (tight end) Leonard Pope took a spin around right here. Then I got one of my partners from Miami and we went to Orlando. We took it out and opened it up on the road.”
