Weird things tend to happen on radio row. Floyd Mayweather Jr. just told Scott Hanson that he could be his sidekick on NFL Network. Can you imagine?
Mayweather broke down some football and he seems to know his stuff. But he’s not returning to boxing … no matter how much Hanson tried to goad him into saying he’ll return at some point.
Hanson told Mayweather it was his lifelong dream to do a stare-down with a professional boxer. Mayweather turned him down. He said it might give him flashbacks to Rickey Hatton or Oscar De la Hoya. Classic. Seriously though, would you ask one of the toughest boxers ever for a staredown? What if he snaps?
Anyway, Mayweather, who lives in Las Vegas, is going with the Cardinals. He said Kurt Warner‘s succcess story could be the Floyd Mayweather Jr. story — it reminds him of himself. He has a big personality for a little guy — you can tell he can turn it off and on — but he gave one of the most likable interviews in the last two years at the set here on radio row.
