Television luring Edwards, not coaching

When the Kansas City Chiefs fired Herm Edwards on Friday, they essentially deactivated him from coaching for 2009.
Edwards isn’t expected to coach anywhere in 2009. He’s expected to end up at some television network, analyzing football instead of coaching it.
Edwards will be a natural in TV. And the fact that he wants to work in TV as badly as TV wants him makes it a virtual certainty that Edwards is finished with coaching in 2009 and quite possibly beyond.
