Titans want to keep their QB of now and the future

Word leaked over the weekend that the Tennessee Titans plan to bring back Kerry Collins as their starting quarterback.
But they also plan to do the same with Vince Young. The Titans have no plans to trade Young or release him, just plans to bring him back and continue to have him back up Collins.
How Young will handle the situation is another issue. But the Titans know that Collins gives them the best chance to win in the short term, and Young gives them the best chance to win in the long term.
Plus, Young has two years remaining on his contract. There’s no reason for the Titans not to bring him back.
Young’s value is down now, but that could change in a moment. Just look at Collins this season. Now Young will head into the 2009 season where Collins was in 2008.
