Fisch takes OC job at University of Minnesota

After interviewing for the Lions’ offensive coordinator job Monday, former Broncos wide receivers coach Jedd Fisch accepted a multi-year deal to become the offensive coordinator at the University of Minnesota.

Thus, two of Denver’s offensive coaches — offensive coordinator Jeremy Bates and Fisch — each wound up going back to school. Bates will be the quarterbacks coach/assistant head coach of the offense for USC.

Now Detroit is expected to interview former Rams coach Scott Linehan and former Browns offensive coordinator Rob Chudszinski to run its offense. The Lions also remain interested in Jets offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer.
