The 49ers have turned to former Boston College coach Jeff Jagodzinski in their search for a new offensive coordinator, after being turned down by Scott Linehan earlier this week. The San Jose Mercury News is reporting that the 49ers met with Jagodzinski on Tuesday at the Senior Bowl practices in Mobile, Ala.
- On Tuesday, Jagodzinski indeed met with Coach Mike Singletary and General Manager Scot McCloughan. There were some tough questions to be asked. Jagodzinski recently contacted the New York Jets about their head-coaching vacancy, then lied about it, according to reports. Boston College Athletic Director Gene DeFilippo responded by firing the coach with three years remaining on his five-year contract.
