Cards use S Rolle on offense during opening drive

In the NFC Championship Game’s first wrinkle, the Cardinals lined up S Antrel Rolle as an offset running back and sent him in motion — left to right — on their opening drive. The play was a counter handoff to RB Edgerrin James, who broke off a 16-yard run. The Eagles definitely were surprised.
Arizona offensive coordinator Todd Haley has shown this postseason that he is very creative, and head coach Ken Whisenhunt has shown an openness to let Haley take chances. Things not only paid off when the Cardinals scored on a 9-yard touchdown pass to WR Larry Fitzgerald from QB Kurt Warner later in the drive, but Arizona planted a seed for something later in the game.
