Boldin, Westbrook looking good to go

Here are some notes while player correspondent Willie McGinest, Steve Wyche and I are on the field watching pregame warmups:

  • Cardinals WR Anquan Boldin just ran by and backpedaled really well, which, as Willie put it, is a really good sign. Eagles RB Brian Westbrook is out there as well, starting his warm-up with a really slow jog. Eagles QB Donovan McNabb just ran out. You can tell he’s loose, running around with his hands up in the air and getting the Eagles fans who are already in here fired up. Willie just talked to Westbrook on his way back to the locker room, and he said he’s fine.
  • Eagles WR DeSean Jackson is from Long Beach Poly, the same high school as Willie. Jackson told Willie that he expects to be a difference-maker in terms of field position on special teams. Jackson certainly was in the wild-card game against the Vikings — he had one punt return go for 62 yards and finished with a career-high 109 punt-return yards. Eagles OT Jon Runyan is out running on his injured knee. It’s tough to watch. You can tell he’s in pain, but there’s no way he wouldn’t play in this game.
