Boldin could have been in an Eagles uniform

One way or another, Anquan Boldin was destined to play in today’s NFC Championship Game. But the question at one point last spring was whether it would be for the Cardinals or the Eagles.
Last spring, the Eagles explored the possibility of trading for Boldin, who wanted out of Arizona. Despite the trade talks between the two teams, Philadelphia wouldn’t offer enough to entice Arizona, and ultimately, the Cardinals opted to hold on to Boldin.
One of the players the Eagles are believed to have offered in return for Boldin was disgruntled cornerback Lito Sheppard.
Now, even though he has insisted that he will not re-sign with Arizona no matter what, Boldin will play today against the Eagles, the team that coveted him last offseason. Sheppard will play for Philadelphia.
Both players will address their situations again this offseason, which for one of them will start tonight.
