McNabb close to joining elite company

From the moment he landed in Philadelphia, Donovan McNabb‘s career has been marked with greatness and controversy. Eagles fans didn’t want the team to draft him. Then, at various points, they didn’t want to keep him. Even the organization used its top draft pick in 2007 to replace him.
Yet somebody needs to explain why Philadelphia has tried to run McNabb out of its city.
If McNabb leads the Eagles to victory Sunday and Super Bowl XLIII in three Sundays, he will become one of only eight quarterbacks to record 10 or more postseason wins. And every other quarterback on the list is either in, or going to, the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Just take a look at the list:
| Quarterback | Teams | Playoff wins |
| Joe Montana | SF – KC | 16 |
| Terry Bradshaw | Pittsburgh | 14 |
| Tom Brady | New England | 14 |
| John Elway | Denver | 14 |
| Brett Favre | Green Bay | 12 |
| Troy Aikman | Dallas | 11 |
| Roger Staubach | Dallas | 11 |
| Donovan McNabb | Philadelphia | 9 |
