Of the many great matchups in Sunday’s NFC Championship Game, the one that stands out is this: Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald vs. Eagles cornerback Asante Samuel.

Moments like this are why the Cardinals gave Fitzgerald a $40 million deal last offseason.

Moments like this also are why the Eagles gave Samuel a $57 million deal last offseason.

Now, two of the league’s marquee and highest-paid players square off, with the winner going on to Tampa and the Super Bowl. And Samuel knows the assignment will not be easy. “You’ve got to be able to jump to the highest point with Fitzgerald,” he said.

It will not be easy. Samuel is 5-foot-10, Fitzgerald 6-foot-3. It is, literally, a tall order for Samuel.
