Playoff reaction from around the league

The Steelers and Ravens looked like AFC heavyweights in Pittsburgh’s 13-9 win in Week 15. That looked like a potential matchup for the AFC Championship Game.
If you thought the same thing after the Eagles beat the Cardinals, 48-20, on Thanksgiving night, well, you are going to have to provide proof.
But these are your matchups for championship game Sunday, and here is some reaction from the local papers.
- Many people have taken their shots at the Cardinals this season. A list that is too long to do here, but Arizona Republic columnist Bob Young is handing out the humble pie. Get in line.
- Donovan McNabb and Andy Reid are leading the Eagles to their fifth NFC Championship Game during their reign in Philadelphia. And still, both quarterback and coach were on the hot seat before the playoffs started. The Philadelphia Daily News‘ Marcus Hayes says that Reid doesn’t have time to gloat.
- The Ravens have relished the underdog role during their march to the AFC Championship Game. Baltimore Sun columnist David Steele says that the days of being an underdog are over. But are they being disrespected? They could still cling to that.
- The Steelers were the only home team to win over the weekend and Pittsburgh Tribune columnist John Harris says that some order was restored as the better team finally won.
