McDaniels has had discussions with Nolan

The Broncos and Josh McDaniels are holding a lengthy introductory press conference and McDaniels has admitted to having discussions with former 49ers coach Mike Nolan about becoming the Broncos’ next defensive coordinator. McDaniels said nothing is in place, but NFL Network’s Adam Schefter blogged yesterday that a source confirmed that Nolan is expected to be hired. McDaniels said he has not spoken with Patriots special assistant – secondary Dom Capers, who is under contract in New England.
