Detroit’s coaching search is moving into the final phase. Today the team brought back Tennessee defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz so he could interview with Lions owner William Clay Ford Sr.
Following Schwartz, the Lions also plan to bring back two men who many league executives believe are front runners to land Detroit’s coaching job.
The two men expected to return to Detroit for second interviews are Vikings defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier and Dolphins assistant head coach Todd Bowles.
The Lions also want to talk with Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, who could emerge as one of Detroit’s finalists.
