Giants’ loss could expedite Spagnuolo’s exit

Now that his team has been eliminated from the playoffs, Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo is free to be hired by another team. And the process is heating up.

Spagnuolo is expected to have a second interview with the New York Jets on Monday. He and Jets offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer are considered in many circles to be the top two candidates for the job.

Schottenheimer already has interviewed with the Jets twice.
