Ravens LB Terrell Suggs left the game a few minutes ago and is questionable to return. We’re being told in the press box that Suggs’ injury is a “shoulder sprain.”
Player correspondent Trent Green says it’s a “huge” loss for the Ravens. He points out that Suggs already has spent a lot of time in the backfield in the first half. And as Green talked about in the pre-game show, Baltimore defensive coordinator Rex Ryan likes to blitz his linebackers a lot. It will be interesting to see how effective his blitz packages are without Suggs in the mix.
So far, the Ravens haven’t had much luck in this game in the injury department. OT Willie Anderson suffered a stinger earlier in the game and missed some time. RB Le’Ron McClain missed some time with an ankle injury. And those aren’t even the players who were listed as “questionable” heading into the game. Remember, the Ravens had eight guys who fell into that category, including WR Derrick Mason, S Ed Reed and CB Samari Rolle. All eight of the “questionable” players are playing, but they’re clearly not 100 percent.
