Warner’s contract contains a $1 million incentive for him leading Arizona to the NFC Divisional Playoffs. It will boost Warner’s incentives this season to $3.5 million, a half-million short of the maximum he can earn under his current deal.

Warner already collected $500,000 for finishing in the top 10in the NFL  in passing yards, touchdowns and yards per pass. He will collect another $500,000 for the Cardinals’ 10 victories and another $500,000 for reaching the wild-card round, and he will make another whopping $1 million for leading Arizona to the divisional playoffs.

It turns out that Warner has had both a productive and lucrative season.
