Cardinals keeping Panthers off balance

Scott Hanson

It’s the end of the first quarter, and player correspondent Keith Brooking believes the Cardinals are doing a great job of moving WR Larry Fitzgerald around before the snap (something Anquan Boldin usually would do more of when healthy and in the game).

Fitzgerald’s third-down catch across the middle and Tim Hightower’s touchdown catch were examples of how Arizona’s scheme has confused Carolina or put its defenders off balance, which allowed the Cardinals to cash in.

And, of course, a defender like Brooking is focused on the impact of Antonio Smith’s huge strip-sack for Arizona.  (Let me tell you, Brooking is itching to be in this game!  He has never watched an NFL game from the press box.)
