Denver is close to finishing its first round of interviews before moving on to the next phase of the process.
After interviewing Vikings defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier in Denver today, the Broncos will visit Thursday with Dolphins assistant head coach Todd Bowles, whose schedule this week is similar to that of Cowboys offensive coordinator Jason Garrett.
Garrett interviewed with the Lions on Monday and spent Tuesday with Broncos officials in Denver. Now Bowles is about to go on the same path. Bowles is huddling with the Lions on Wednesday and then will meet with the Broncos on Thursday.
At least one person has suggested that the Broncos might not be pleased with their first round of interviews, but a person who was a part of that process laughed off that suggestion and said: “The first four guys were terrific, the next three will be terrific. It is truly fun to listen to these guys and see their passion and their knowledge come forth. What a great process. We are going to have a tough decision.”
