If Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt knows the true status of WR Anquan Boldin’s hamstring injury, he’s keeping it close to the vest. Whisenhunt said Monday that Boldin suffered a strained hamstring against the Falcons. But at this point, what that really means is guesswork.
“We’re hopefull that Anquan will be ready to go,” Whisenhunt said during a news conference. “I don’t know how it’s going to go from here. I just think we’ll see how it goes as the week progresses.
“When you’re dealing with hamstrings, you just never know. I’ve seen guys that have come back and play a couple of days later. I’ve seen guys that are out three or four weeks. You never know.”
Boldin was injured during a 71-yard catch and run in the second quarter (video), and was able to return for one series before leaving the game for good. He also missed the final two games of the regular season with a shoulder injury. Whisenhunt also said he anticipates DE Travis LaBoy, who has missed the last three games with an ankle injury, returning to practice on Tuesday.
