As active as he is, New York’s Woody Johnson is hardly the absentee owner. But this week he is.
While the Jets have begun their interviewing process for their next head coach, talking with assistant coaches Brian Schottenheimer (left) and Bill Callahan on Friday and Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo on Saturday, Johnson has not been present for any of them.
Johnson has been on vacation this week, according to a league source, and will not jump back into the coaching search until next week. While he has been away, the Jets have carried on without him. Johnson will have to get caught up to speed next week.
