GLENDALE, Ariz. — The playoffs are new to the folks in Arizona but they are doing it up big. The sell-out crowd must have been handed white hand towels because they are whirling things around and creating a sea of white. Following Anquan Boldin‘s 71-yard touchdown run that put Arizona up 14-7 over Atlanta, the place was gonzo.
Call it White Noise.
As far as noise — the Cardinals kept the retractable roof closed — it has been as loud as you can imagine and I am seated in an enclosed press box. The crowd noise has benefited the Cards, as the Falcons have had to use a lot of hand signals on offense and are taking a long time to get into their sets as a result.
