Three strong candidates for Chiefs GM job

Kansas City is in the midst of its general manager search, but look for three candidates to emerge:
Jimmy Raye, San Diego director of pro personnel: Before he climbed San Diego’s front office, Raye spent the 1995 season as an offensive assistant/quality control coach for the Chiefs. Raye has done a superb job with the Chargers and knows the AFC West — and Kansas City — well.
Mark Dominik, Tampa Bay director of pro personnel: Dominik, a graduate of the University of Kansas who spent over a year working in the Chiefs’ college and pro personnel departments, would be a popular choice in the area. More importantly, he would be a good and deserved one. Dominik is one of the main reasons Tampa Bay has stockpiled young talent.
Chris Polian, Indianapolis vice president of football operations: Viewed as the successor to his father, Bill, the Colts president, Chris might have the chance to start running his own team sooner rather than later.
